PAN AMERICAN PHOTO EXHIBITION 2015
The Hispanic Canadian Arts and Cultural Association and the Art Gallery of Mississauga invited artists to submit photographs for a juried art exhibition featuring work about the 41 countries participating in the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games.
Artists are from, or have a strong connection to, one of the 41 countries. They submitted photograph that represented their country’s landscape, lifestyle, culture or sports. The Pan American Photography Exhibit is a featured cultural attraction in the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am / Parapan Am Games.
“We’re excited to partner with the Art Gallery of Mississauga on this project,” says Carlos Bastidas, Executive Director, Hispanic Canadian Arts and Cultural Association. “This project highlights the rich diversity of Pan American cultures, and promotes inclusivity and cross-cultural connection.”
Submissions are going to be evaluated by a jury, consisting of Stuart Keeler, Director | Curator, Art Gallery of Mississauga; and Kendra Ainsworth, Assistant Curator, Art Gallery of Mississauga.
Exhibition Dates and Locations:
The Art Gallery of Mississauga is a public, not-for-profit art gallery located in the Mississauga Civic Centre right on Celebration Square across from Square One Mall. Admission to the AGM is free.
The Assembly Hall Gallery is located in 1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive Toronto, ON M8V 4B6. And the Metro Hall in 55 John Street Toronto, Ontario
